Default as percentage in discount column

Scenario: 

Our company applies discounts as a percentage rather than a fixed amount. Is it possible for the system to automatically set the discount column to default as a percentage so that my colleagues don't forget to update it every time, they input the discount column?

Solution 

Maintenance > System Options > Sales > Discount Method 

By default, it is available for Value & % 

Please change it to %

So that user can update discount column without entered %

Note: This setting is applicable for Sales Module, if you would like activate the function for Purchase Module,                      please access the setting from Maintenance > System Options > Purchases > Discount Methods
